Laura Kassner, Ed.D., Founder
Having served as a classroom teacher, library media specialist, curriculum leader, and professional developer, Dr. Laura Kassner demonstrates both breadth and depth of experience including teaching, leading, and researching best practice in early childhood education, K-12, higher education, professional development, and adult learning. She has exceptional interpersonal skills and a strong record leading varied stakeholder groups to build community, drive change, and implement sound practices and improve teaching and learning.
Dr. Kassner is adept at leveraging technology tools such as Google Apps to facilitate and enhance both administrative efficiencies as well as to encourage collaboration and host hybrid and online courses.
She actively engages in research partnerships with school divisions and Universities surrounding the integration of technology to achieve pedagogical goals, innovative professional development structures for educators, the expansion of access and equity for underserved student populations, and the distribution of National Board Certified Teachers in Virginia.
She is a 1999 graduate of Atlee High School, 2003 graduate of Mary Washington College (B.A. Sociology/Elementary Education), 2009 graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University (M.Ed. Educational Leadership), and 2012 graduate of Virginia Tech (Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies).
Laura loves the flexibility and project variety this endeavor brings, particularly while raising a young family with her husband in rural Virginia.
